Parametric Lego Modeling
In this project we designed a set or family of parts. The easiest way to make a family of parts is with
equations. When using equations you can change one value and other values in the part will change with it. This saves a lot of time during modeling process.
Legos® are a good example of a family of parts. A brick has certain design properties and they do not change. However,
parts of the Legos® must change when the size increases.

Blue Lego Brick 6
Parameter d0=.625
Parameter d1=(d0*6 in)/2
d1=1.875
Parameter d1=(d0*6 in)/2
d1=1.875
Blue Lego Brick 10
When the model is created changing the size can be done by changin the equation. Exaple to make 10 peg Lego brick can be change in the eqation d1 to d1=(d0*10 in)/2 in
Parameter d0=.625
Parameter d1=(d0*10 in)/2 in
d1=3.125
Parameter d0=.625
Parameter d1=(d0*10 in)/2 in
